Player Imports
Another huge update to Club Vote Count this week.
One of the more daunting jobs facing volunteers each year when setting up for a Best and Fairest or Most Valuable Player (MVP) vote count is entering all the player names.
I guess entering dozens or maybe hundreds of player names is easier than preparing dozens of power point slides, but the easier things can be the better right?
So now, Club Vote provides a Player Import function. Import player data from any CSV file (Comma Separated Values) or Text file.
Now most administration systems, for any sport and for any league/association, will offer a data export facility. A big part of your job as a volunteer administrator is to keep that registration information up to date, for insurance, team selection, membership fees and so on.
Club Vote Count is not going to make you type that all in again. Those systems will all let you download your data. If you can download your Player information as a CSV file, you can import it into Club Vote Count is minutes – no matter what the layout of that file.
With Club Vote Counts new Player Import facility, simply specify which columns in your file represent the player names (and numbers if you have them) and import them.
Club Vote Count will recognise the players it already knows about and only add the new ones.
ForĀ Associations / Leagues the import will handle each player’s club too – even if they have changed clubs since last year.
And because Club Vote Count keeps a history of your Best and Fairest or MVP Awards, players’ voting history, and the clubs they were with when they polled those votes, are never lost.
Here’s a quick start video on how easy it is….
Remember, this is all online… so you get all this automatically. No need to download any update or reinstall any software. This is Vote Count software for sporting clubs at it’s best.
